My name is Sheila Stone business owner and candle maker at The Scented Candle Shop and of Escent-ial Lights. My work involves designing and creating a large range of customary and personalized candles including a unique novelty selection such as Coffee cups, Wine glasses, Cocktail glasses, Cupcakes and many more all hand crafted from premium quality scented and unscented candles.

The core ingredients of candles is very important to me and therefore never compromised; my candles have only the finest soy wax ‘ESCOSOY’ the natural alternative to traditional paraffin (petroleum) based wax candles. Our Pillar candles are made using ‘Palm Wax’ which is sourced from a Plantation developed for sustainability for palm cultivation and the protection of our environment.  Our wicks are 100% natural - made from pure lead free cotton, infused only with high- grade exotic fragrances & essential oils. 

I pride myself on being an Australian business who  uses mostly Australian ingredients, fragrances, essential oils, labels and packaging when possible. My Plam wax is supplied from a very responsible company this statment is taken from their web site.

There has been quite a bit of press lately about the destruction of rain forests in South-east Asia, home to some of the most bio-diverse ecosystems in the world, with the threat of losing these forests and destroying the livelihood of native people, orangutang, Sumatran tiger populations and other important wildlife. This organization was founded by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and heads of government and industry involved in palm cultivation. The RSPO was founded to develop and define best practices for sustainable palm cultivation, and protection of the environment. If you are looking for an environmentally responsible, non GM palm wax, Always use some type of base for pillar candles. Never leave a lit candle near curtains or other flammable items. keep in a ventlated area. Put your candle out before going to bed. Never leave a candle lit when you are no around.
